2016–

I founded PRESENT in New York in 2016. It’s my publishing project and global community, and the word, with all its meanings, forms the pillars of the project. I build tools to support Modern Makers: the print magazine, the digital platform, in-depth podcasts, and regular workshops.

The Bliss and Battles of Living and Making Today. PRESENT is an ongoing discourse on how to navigate the world as a Modern Maker.

The PRESENT symbol is inspired by an ancient woodblock print and combines several shapes and values: The EYE: being fully awake and present with yourself and the people around you. The SUN: bringing clarity, inspiring a new start, a fresh reset. The CENTER: is the present moment where everything is evolving from, while the left and right arrows represent past and future. The ARROWS: a nod to Hakalau meditation. Hakalau translates to eyes wide open and is a technique that helps to both focus and expand your peripheral vision

We speak about process, philosophy and practice. It’s a space for honest conversations about fear, focus, and finding your Thing.
